Dr. Carver & Dr. Curtis

In the fall of 1935, Dr. Austin Curtis started working as George Washington Carver's lab assistant.  Dr. Carver and Dr. Curtis developed a father-son type of relationship.  Dr. Carver gave Dr. Curtis the Peanut Rubbing Oil formula before Carver died. The Styling Wax, Pressing Oil, and S&H Scalp Conditioner are a few of the wonderful peanut based cosmetic products that Carver created.

George Washington Carver Hair Care Products

I hear many people say they only want to use products on their body with ingredients that they can eat.  These are words that are said by people who don’t have any clue of what chemistry is.  I studied chemistry in college and in short, chemistry is a study of the mixture of certain chemicals and how they interact or react with each other.  Each ingredient in any product is considered a chemical, whether it’s a natural or a man-made chemical.  Water is a natural chemical and has a chemical property of H2O.  When you mix certain chemicals together they take on a different chemical property.  Going back to people who state that they won’t use any products on their body that they can’t eat, you can mix natural non-toxic chemicals together to produce a final chemical product that could be toxic.  Therefore, what’s really important to your body is the impact of the final chemical mixture of any product.  George Washington Carver was a master scientist and also a master chemist.  He was a master in mixing chemicals together with the peanut to produce wonderful products.  George Washington Carver used petroleum in some of his hair products which we sell today.  Most people think petroleum is a man-made chemical because of its association with gasoline.  For the record, petroleum is a natural chemical found deep in the earth.  Petroleum in any of our Carver peanut based products is not harmful but helpful for your hair and scalp.  Try some of George Washington Carver's peanut based products today and you will see.
