March 21, 2016

Elements 4 Nature receives the rights to manufacture and sell Dr. Austin Curtis's Braiding Lotion and the Aloe Vera Shampoo products.  Dr. Curtis was the lead Lab Assistant to Dr. George Washington Carver for the last eight years of Carver's life. Elements 4 Nature plans to have the first products available to be purchased on their web site by the end of 2016 or sooner. “Again, we are happy to be able to manufacture and sell these wonderful products that Dr. Austin Curtis developed. These products were made by the best scientific minds in modern history. So much so that we think these products will blow away all other competing products on the market.” said, Jon Adkins, founder of Elements 4 Nature. “We thank, Dr. Faye Williams for having the trust and faith in us to bring these products to the marketplace once again,” said Jon. The Dr. Curtis Braiding Lotion and the Aloe Vera Shampoo were popular products when Curtis Labs was selling them in Detroit, Michigan. The Braiding Lotion is a peanut oil based product.  The Aloe Vera Shampoo does not contain any peanut oil in the ingredients.

E4N Lead Story: Elements 4 Nature and Tuskegee University are in the initial Stages of trying to work out a Partnership Deal

June 8, 2015

Elements 4 Nature and Tuskegee University are at the initial stages of trying to form a partnership.  Elements 4 Nature's founder, Jon Adkins approached Dr. Walter Hill, Head of Tuskegee University Agricultural Department, at the 2015 Carver Festival in May about the idea of Elements 4 Nature and Tuskegee forming a partnership.  Dr. Hill was excited about the idea and is exploring ways within the University's structure to see if it's possible.   It would be a win win situation for both Tuskegee University and Elements 4 Nature if a formal partnership is establish.  Jon Adkins currently holds the rights to George Washington Carver/Austin Curtis peanut based Body Lotion which is plan to be marketed and sold later this year.  His desire is to donate the rights to the Body Lotion formula back to Tuskegee University where it was developed by George Washington Carver.  "The idea came to me after my older brother, Terry Adkins died unexpectedly on February 9, 2014.  Life is short and I would not want the Carver/Curtis formula to be in the hands of people who do not have the best interests of Black people.  We at Elements 4 Nature pride ourselves on keeping the legacy of Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver alive. Elements 4 Nature is an extension of Booker T. Washington and George Washington Caver vision to empower "The Man Farthest Down or to empower Black people to be economically self sufficient and to stand on our own feet", said Jon Adkins.

One may ask the question, how did Jon Adkins get the rights to the master scientist, George Washington Carver's formula?  The Carver/Curtis Body Lotion rights were signed over to him in a contract agreement with Dr. Faye Williams who owns the rights to all of the George Washington Carver/Austin Curtis cosmetic formulas when she purchased Curtis Labs from Dr. Curtis in the year 2000.   To go a little further back in history, Dr. Austin Curtis worked as Carver's lead lab assistant the last eight years of Carver's life.  Dr. Curtis graduated from North Carolina A&T with a BS and Master degrees.  Dr. Curtis received his doctorate degree from Cornell University in Chemistry. George Washington Carver hired Dr. Curtis in 1935. Carver had great respect and admiration for Dr. Curtis.  Dr. Carver and Dr. Curtis experienced similar educational paths.  It was rare for a Black man like Dr. Curtis to graduate with a doctorate degree in Chemistry from an Ivory league school in the 1930's.  They formed a close relationship in the eight years that they worked together. They developed a father/son type of relationship. Based on their close relationship, Dr. Carver gave Dr. Curtis his popular Peanut Rubbing Oil formula and told Dr. Curtis to sell the Peanut Rubbing Oil with Carver's picture on it.  Dr. Curtis was nicknamed Baby Carver while at Tuskegee.

When George Washington Carver died in 1943, Dr. Curtis left Tuskegee and moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1944 and started Curtis Labs where he sold the Peanut Rubbing Oil and some of the other peanut based cosmetic products that Carver had developed.  Dr. Curtis knew all of Carver's formulas.  Naturally with Dr. Curtis formal education in Chemistry, he likely enhanced all of Carver's initial formulas.  He definitely had to tweak Carver's formulas to make the peanut based products self ready to be sold in stores.  Elements 4 Nature currently sells the following original peanut based products developed by George Washington Carver:

  • George Washington Carver Peanut Rubbing Oil
  • Carver & Curtis Sage & Sulphur Hair Growth Conditioner
  • Carver & Curtis Styling Wax
  • Carver & Curtis S&H Scalp Conditioner
  • Carver & Curtis Pressing Oil (Not currently sold on web site)

The Carver & Curtis Body Lotion will be out later this year.  With the knowledge that Dr. Curtis learned from Dr. Carver, Dr. Curtis was able to develop his own line of peanut based hair care products.  The following products that we now call Legends 4Ever were developed by Dr. Curtis:

  • Low-PH Balance Shampoo (Contains no peanut oil)
  • S&H Protein Treatment Conditioner (Peanut oil based)
  • Organic Oil Sheen (Peanut oil based)
  • Thermal lotion (Peanut oil based)

Dr. Curtis needs to get credit for bringing George Washington Carver products to the market place.  These wonderful products that Carver developed can be brought and used by consumers today because of Dr. Curtis.  Dr. Curtis wanted to leave his company with his two daughters but they did not want to continue what he had started so he sold his company to Dr. Faye Williams in 2000.  Dr. Curtis died in 2003. Dr. Faye Williams has done a wonderful job in continuing the legacy of George Washington Carver.  She is currently the head of the National Congress of Black Women in Washington DC.  She is responsible for leading the effort in getting the Sojourner Truth Statue in the U.S. Capitol Emancipation Hall in Washington DC. She has consistently fought for important civil rights causes within the Black community throughout her life.

Dr. Faye Williams has expressed her desire to donate more formulas of Carver's to Tuskegee University if a meaningful partnership is established with Elements 4 Nature.  A meaningful partnership will produce financial results.  If Elements 4 Nature benefits financially from a partnership with Tuskegee University, so will Dr. Williams.  A meaningful partnership will be beneficial to Tuskegee University and Elements 4 Nature.  However, it's not clear at this point on the details of what a formal or meaningful partnership would entail.  We know Elements 4 Nature would like Tuskegee University to endorse the Carver products that they currently sell and to open all of Tuskegee's marketing channels up to them. Elements 4 Nature would like to have full and easy access to all of the Tuskegee Alumni Associations all over the world. In exchange, Tuskegee University will gain the rights to the Carver/Curtis Body Lotion.  "Even if we can't come to terms on a formal or meaningful partnership agreement with Tuskegee University, I will still donate the rights of the Carver/Curtis Body Lotion to Tuskegee University regardless.  I don't know when that donation will take place, however, the formula will not be in any danger of getting in the wrong hands.  In addition, we will continue to donate money to Tuskegee University", said Jon Adkins.

The stakes are high for Tuskegee University to form this partnership with Elements 4 Nature.  A meaningful partnership with Elements 4 Nature would start the process of Tuskegee University regaining ownership of George Washington Carver formulas.  Hopefully, Dr. Walter Hill can come up with a plan and convince the leadership at Tuskegee University to agree and implement that plan to form a meaningful partnership with Elements 4 Nature.  Because it would be a shame for some of Carver's original formulas to get in the hands of people who do not share Booker T. Washington's and George Washington Carver's vision of uplifting Black people or "The Man Farthest Down".  The mission of Elements 4 Nature is to create jobs in the Black community by selling these wonderful products that Carver developed.  That is why this possible partnership between Tuskegee University and Elements 4 Nature is so important to both entities. Tuskegee University would regain the rights to most if not all of Carver's formulas and Elements 4 Nature would be in a better economical position to implement their mission of creating jobs in the Black communities all across this country and the world.

Elements 4 Nature's Blog Site
E4N Lead Story: Elements 4 Nature revamps E4N Blog web Site

April 22, 2015

Elements 4 Nature revamps the E4N Blogs web site on March 27, 2015.   The new blog site consists of six web pages.   The purpose of the web site is to open up a channel of communication to the public.  The six web pages are named as follows:

  • Home
  • Blog
  • Carver Corner
  • Carver Egyptian Blue
  • Plant Life
  • Ad Rates

The Carver Corner web page is really an interesting snap shot of the life of Dr. George Washington Carver.   The Carver Corner web page has some interesting information about Dr. Carver that you would not read anywhere else. Especially, the Egyptian connection section, the Dr. Carver and Dr. Curtis friendship section and Carver's communication with the plant life section.  E4N added the Egyptian Blue and the Plant life pages.  Carver's re-creation of the Egyptian Blue color that the ancient Egyptian produced is an example of how great this man was.  Many people still do not know that Carver was the father of mock chicken and mock meats in general.  The main attraction, however, is the blog site.   Elements 4 Nature staff will be the primary people writing blogs for the site.  There will be guest writers posting blogs as well.

   Carver's Peanut Rubbing Oil

Peanut Rubbing Oil now with
Fragrance added

The Original George Washington Carver Peanut Rubbing Oil now comes with a choice of 8 different fragrances.

E4N Lead Story: Elements 4 Nature adds Fragrance to George Washington Carver’s original Peanut Rubbing Oil

May 27, 2013

Elements 4 Nature added eight different fragrances to George Washington Carver’s original Peanut Rubbing Oil. Today, customers can purchase the Peanut Rubbing Oil in the Roll-On (1/3oz) size bottles only, with their choice of eight different fragrances. The eight fragrances are:

Cucumber Melon
Aloe Vera
Cinnamon
Lavender
Peanut Butter Cup
Sweet Mint
Orange
Honey Almond

“We thought it would be something worth pursuing”, said Jon Adkins founder of Elements 4 Nature. “When I approached Dr. Faye Williams with the idea to give Elements 4 Nature permission to add fragrance, she embraced it.” The company was happy with the test results of all eight fragrances. “It makes since to only add fragrance in the Roll-On size bottles because most people do not carry around in their pockets or purses the (4oz) or (2oz) size bottles of George Washington Carver’s Peanut Oil. Nor do they take those size bottles with them on trips to the spa or at work. So the demand was really only for the Roll-On size bottles”, said Jon. The company responded to feedback of some of their customers who really liked the product but were afraid to use the Roll-On size bottle in public due to the strong Methyl smell. However, that has changed with the introduction of eight different fragrance choices. E4N test results showed that the added fragrance does not have an impact on changing the main core ingredients of the original George Washington Carver Peanut Rubbing Oil. E4N used 100% natural fragrances. “Our test findings were revolutionary. Now our customers can use Carver’s Peanut Rubbing Oil to relieve minor aches and pains with the choice of 8 different fragrances. No other competing company who sells pain relieving ointments offers what we do today”, said Jon. Currently, this new revolutionary product can only be purchased on the Elements 4 Nature website.

E4N Lead Story: The issue with the FDA and NHO concerning Dr. Carver's Peanut Rubbing Oil seems to be resolved

March 14, 2013

It appears that the issue with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Natural Health Options (NHO) has been resolved concerning the George Washington Carver (GWC) Peanut Rubbing Oil. Apparently, the FDA had problems with NHO along with Elements 4 Nature (E4N) advertising that the GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil reduced pain for Arthritis and Rheumatism. E4N agreed to take the Arthritis and Rheumatism off their web site. Currently, E4N is at full capacity again inventory wise concerning the GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil. E4N is aware of the fact that lots of people use GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil to reduce pain specifically for Arthritis. However, the company plans to work around the obstacle of not being able to advertise for Arthritis by having all of their customers, specifically the ones who have been using Dr. Carver’s Peanut Rubbing Oil to reduce pain for Arthritis, to send in their testimony. Elements 4 Nature plans to create a testimony page on their web site in a few months.
Customers who are interested in being on Elements 4 Nature's web site to testify on the successful use of Dr. George Washington Carver's products, can send their e-mails to sun_rise_jra@msn.com or E4N@4elements-ewaf.com with the following information contained in the e-mail:
