Dr. George Washington Carver Peanut Rubbing Oil: Carver's Original Formula |
|
The George Washington Carver (GWC) Peanut Rubbing Oil was created over 75 years ago by Dr. George Washington Carver, the famous agricultural scientist who invented over 300 products from peanuts. After working with his assistant, Dr. Austin W. Curtis, for a couple of years, Dr. Carver named the famous Peanut Rubbing Oil after Dr. Curtis out of respect for him. Dr. Curtis, a chemist by profession, was the assistant to Dr. Carver for eight years before Dr. Carver's death. Together they studied the peanut and discovered proteins and organic properties within the structure of the peanut that could be used for multiple applications.
GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil was created for people who prefer alternative medication, as a specialty-premium rub that provides deep penetration for minor aches and pains. GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil is known for maximum penetration to relieve stiffness in joints, joint-friction from bones rubbing together, tight and sore muscles, and restricted range of movement. These problems require a lubricating rub that penetrates, lubricates and medicates without side effects sometimes caused by non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs often prescribed for arthritic conditions.
GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil is a multi-purpose oil that can be used in a variety of ways, with hot soaks, wraps and direct applications. Be careful not to exceed recommended dosage for hot soaks where the entire body is submerged.
Caution: Do not use if allergic to peanuts. Do not use GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil with heating pads, or in conditions where vascular problems exist. GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil is for external use only. Follow instructions on product use. Avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas of the body. Do not apply GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil to open sores, ulcers or broken skin. Discontinue use of GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil if redness of skin occurs. If pain persists, consult a physician for future treatment.

Osteoarthritis
Condition: Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, which is a wearing down of load bearing joints through deterioration of the cartilage. Problems that occur may be the result of mechanical failure in parts of a joint. Often, the cause of joint disorders is an inflammation produced by infection, disease or some unknown cause. Most joint ailments caused by inflammation are termed "arthritis", from the Greek word "arthron" for joint, and "itis" for inflammation. The ends of the bones that meet in a joint are cushioned with a layer of resilient tissue called cartilage, which acts like a sponge that holds a lubricating substance called Synovial Fluid. This fluid enables joints to glide back and forth without friction. In a person with osteoarthritis, the cartilage that cushions the impact on the joint gradually deteriorates. Its smooth surface roughens, and it lose its cushioning effect. Over time, the ends of the bones are affected, with bone growing along the sides of the joint to provide lumps. Each of the steps in the process produces pain.
Symptoms: Restricted range of movement, inflammation and pain.
